Silkscreen printing

As you might now I have been involved in painting t-shirts at parties and festivals with the Big Bug Collection. That has been major fun, people respond enthusiastically to our artwork and we see a lot of potential. That’s why we (Diede, Eliska, Tom and I) want to start our own t-shirt company. I have been working on this project over the last couple of months and it takes quite some time and effort but I am learning a lot and having loads of fun doing so. Yesterday evening I silkscreen printed my first t-shirt (woohoo). I drew a design of a girl with a moustache, and for now only used one of my own shirts to test it on. But I am happy with the result and am excited about where the t-shirts might take us.

‘Big Bug Collection’ is still very much a work in progress and we are starting out low key, but you can already check out our site and facebook for pictures of the parties, blog and behind the scenes pictures. I expect our first shirts to be for sale in the coming days.

I will probably be blogging more about our development over time :) (Also on our site’s blog)

    Wow!! What a FUN process! I actually have an old silk screening kit stuffed away (was my mom's until my brother and I confiscated it!) and have been meaning to learn how to use it... you might have inspired me.

    That design is beautiful. I am addicted to the design in the hair! Well done... I'd wear it!

    It's a great design and I think the color of the shirt works well with it too. I'm sure you'll print on other colors, but I think this is a good one! :)

    Screen-printing is a altered blazon of columnist aggregation as they do decals, bonanza stickers, bartering boards, signs for bus, shirts, hats and cups.

    Man I haven't silk-screened since high school (and even then I only did one--harry potter faces!) But I love this! The hair looks soooo cool!

    @ Sara: I'm not sure yet what colors we will print on, for now we can't afford to print too many different ones Probably when people start buying our stuff we can try more (not only in terms of colors but we have soooo many ideas)
