Last week I had vacation, so Anne and I took some time to catch up, have a good old sleep over and work on a new project. Somehow our sleepovers often turn into us working non stop on a new craft project that takes up all of our time, focus, interest and passion.
In the past we have been known to work for three days straight on two scrapbook pages without leaving our room (we started our ‘friend scrapbook album’, but never had the heart to continue after realizing how much time it would take us to scrapbook all the moments of our over ten years of friendship). We also once went through a fimo clay phase; all we did for hours was obsessing over making perfect mini cupcakes.
Our latest project: making a dress (yeah, I bet you had guessed that one already). A few days ago I blogged about the heart dress I made. Well, we were both up for the idea of making another one and I already had the pattern, so we made ourselves a new dress.
Locking yourself in a room working on craft projects without pause for hours until it is finished is one thing. Having a friend who is happy to do that with you is another… :)
I'm pretty much certain I need to hire you as my personal dress creator! You have mad skills lady! Xo Lori

DeleteCrafty sleepovers sound like so much fun! Sadly I don't have any friends that would want to do something like that, but I'll be keeping the idea in mind for the future :)

ReplyDeleteSuch fun! My friend Ria and I sew together sometimes as well, it just makes everything so much better. Especially as she is an experienced sewer and can help me with my mistakes!
