I am back from Thailand! My parents are married for 25 years this year, and they wanted to celebrate their wedding anniversary in a very special way together with their children. As you can imagine I was quite excited with the implementation of it all: a trip to Thailand.
I have seen so many things! Thankfully I have a tremendous amount of pictures waiting to be shared with you and to remember the special time we had. As the server might explode if I show them all at once (ok, so not really, just being dramatic) I will share my trip in parts. In this post I will share just day one in Bangkok. I can not even believe I saw all of this in one day, and can you imagine I am only sharing like.. nothing.. compared to everything I have seen!
I visited several major temples and the Grand Palace, saw chanting monks, an enormous Buddha (45 m long), lot’s of gold, beautiful mosaics, one of the longest wall painting in the world, went on a bike tour through Chinatown, took a ferry across the Chao Praya river, was shit on by a bird, fed fish and slept well after an exhausting day :)
(Never mind my ‘I’m-gonna-strip-this-wall-and-sell-the-gold-and-be-rich-and-famous’-face)
(A short video to give an impression of my ride through Chinatown)
Wow! I love the colors of Thailand! These images are amazing! I also love the juxtaposition of the temples with the humble dwellings... give us more!!
