Wanna see the awesome fountain prototype I built?

Remember my last explorations to build an interactive fountain? My final master project at industrial design is really starting to take shape: I have been busy building a more developed prototype that is even bigger.

Basically the water just ‘opens the way’ for you wherever you walk. I think the effect is kind of magical. Above all I am happy I got the basic idea to work; it was a huge step getting my electronics and software to work together and then program the water behavior. I use a webcam to track the location of people from above. Then I use that location as source for my program to change the behavior of the fountains accordingly.

What do you think? Would you like to try it?

    1. Yup I did. The fountains are from the company Fonteintechniek Gruppen, but basically they just let me run with it and program the whole thing. And thank you and welcome:)

so amazing what you can do with water and electronics o.O
I like how it's a bit scary when you walk underneath.. "will I get hit by a waterbeam??"
Is the height adjustable? So kids can use it as well?

    1. Thanks! It is still a work in progress, but I guess it is getting somewhere. Yes, I basically program the height of the fountain to any height I want (although the highest you see in the video is about the maximum for this scale). So I can easily adjust that :)
