So last weekend, me and two friends decided to make the stain into something more interesting to look at. We ended up using the lines and splashes from the white stain to make a huge fire spitting dragon. It was in the middle of a bicycle lane though, so we had to momentarily ‘move’ the path a bit.
Oh and this was what our faces looked like afterwards. We might have gone to the supermarket looking like that. Also, my old shabby jeans might have been torn apart from doing a cartwheel in the grass. To the point where the presence of my zipper seemed ironic.
It was one of those days that is just good in every way. After a long and relaxing afternoon of painting I was laying in the grass, with a cool beer in my hand, a sunburn, ripped jeans, grass in my hair, dirty bare feet and paint all over my body, and I simply felt tired and happy.
I love those moments, when all my unimportant worries and to do lists fade into the background, and there is just a blissful moment of ‘now’. Although it is a nice aim to try to experience this as much as possible, you won’t all the time. So when such moments pop up in a relaxed weekend setting I try to enjoy every tiny bit of it, which is what I did.
Go outside, enjoy the sun, do silly things that make you smile and enjoy the moment.
Wow this looks so cool! You guys did a lovely job and also it is so lovely to let the worries fade and just do something you love.
