It has been a while since my last creative challenge, but this week I am up for something new again:
The challenge: Do something that you have been willing to learn, for half an hour every day.
This challenge is about making an effort to take up something you would love to learn, but never make the time for. It can also be something you have started to learn, but never continued because progress takes time and other things stole took your attention after your first few attempts. So whether you want to learn Spanish, the ukulele, knitting, a crash course video editing, juggling, come new recipes or draw anime; why not take a little bit of time a day to start building towards that goal? It is not about being an expert after a week, but it is about taking action and get you started. You will never make time for the things you want to learn if you don’t give them priority.
I will be focusing on my new year’s goal of learning to juggle this week.
As always, feel free to join :)
Good luck with learning how to juggle!
ReplyDeleteLoving the picture you used as your blog header, I'm feeling the polkadots love, haha.
Thanks! Yeah.. Love might be an understatement :p
DeleteThis is a really fabulous idea! I'm always trying to do challenges but I usually fail because I'm not focused enough haha, but I might try yours! I love your blog :) x
ReplyDeleteWell I would love to hear if you do! Focussing is the hardest part. and thanks :)
DeleteI've been meaning to learn how to play the recorder, knit or crochet, do the charleston, and bake a cake from scratch. Here goes nothing!! :)
ReplyDeleteI also still want to learn how to crochet, I have tried knitting before though :)
DeleteI fully expect video or something of teh juggling!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha I'll see what I can do for you ;)
DeleteI love your creative challenges! They really make one aware of trying to do new and different things. I too look forward to a video of your juggling prowess!

Deletejuggling! How cool! Ive tried before but never quite got the technique. Also, thanks for stopping by my blog :) xx
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm not sure if I am doing it right.. but at least I'm trying ;)
DeleteHow funny! I just went through my old bouncy balls/tennis balls, etc and found my juggling bean bags like yours. I was pleasantly surprised that I could still juggle fairly well. : ]
ReplyDeleteI must think about something I want to learn...hmm...
That's awesome! I am practicing but I wish I would progress faster.. oh and with less effort :p
DeleteGreat idea. I really need to get moving with my New Year's goal of learning how to knit!
ReplyDeleteI know.. New Year was long ago and it feels like those goals are in the past as well.. haha.. great that you want to learn how to knit :)
DeleteYes I agree but it's hard to be motivated sometimes to learn something new! LOL

That's true, especially in an ever hectic schedule!
DeleteI LOVE that you are learning to juggle, that is on my list! This is such good advice for learning a new hobby. I'm SO bad at practicing because I want to be instantly good at something! The past month I've been wanting to learn to hula hoop so I've been trying to practice for about 20 minutes everyday and it really does feel good!
ReplyDeleteHaha I am the same, I will get frustrated because I expect myself to be some kind of expert after half an hour while that is in NO way a realistic expectation. But you are doing awesome with the hula hoop!
